Description

The Garlock LINK-SEAL® LS-425-C is a modular elastomer seal that creates a permanent, hydrostatic seal around a pipe or other cylindrical object where it passes through a concrete wall or similar barrier, giving you long-lasting protection against fluid corrosion and contamination.

This Size 425 Model C link pairs a black EPDM sealing element and reinforced nylon polymer pressure plate with zinc-plated carbon steel hardware. It holds up well in damp conditions, sealing reliably against moisture, groundwater and organic chemicals in pipelines and direct-burial applications.

For more water exposure, look at Model S-316 (black EPDM with stainless steel hardware); for more chemical exposure, look at Model O (nitrile rubber with stainless steel hardware).

Use Garlock’s convenient LINK-SEAL Calculator to view the number of links needed for your project.

How to Order Using the LINKSEAL Modular Seal Sizing Charts

  1. Locate the pipe type and size
  2. Verify that the outer diameter (OD) of your pipe matches the actual OD shown on the chart – if it does not, contact us via live chat below or call (773) 486-1000
  3. Determine the type of wall opening (model CS, WS or cast/core bit drilled)
  4. Determine Link-Seal modular seal model to be used
  5. To order Link-Seal modular seals:
    1. Find the Link-Seal seal size (from SIZE column)
    2. Find the Link-Seal modular seal model (C, S-316, L, LS-316, LS-S61, O, OS-316, T or FD/FS)
    3. Determine the number of links required per seal (from LINKS PER SEAL column)
  6. To order corresponding sleeves: find the model number from MODEL NUMBER column (length of sleeve and quantity are required)
