LINK-SEAL® Pipe-to-Wall Penetration Sealing Systems
Modular seals & wall sleeves for a permanent, watertight pipe penetration
LINK-SEAL is a modular, mechanical rubber sealing system that forms a permanent, hydrostatic seal around virtually any pipe or cylindrical object as it passes through a wall, floor, or ceiling. Rubber links bolt together and mechanically expand to press against the pipe and the wall opening — no messy lead-and-oakum, no grout, and no cure time. It is the field-proven standard for keeping water, gas, soil, and backfill out of building penetrations.
Why Buyers Choose LINK-SEAL
A mechanical seal that goes in by hand and holds for the life of the structure — no specialized crews, no cure time, no callbacks.
Fast install
Seals a penetration in up to 75% less time than lead-oakum or grouted methods — by hand, with a single wrench.
Permanent, hydrostatic seal
Rated to 20 psig (40 ft of head), exceeding most application requirements — a true watertight, gastight barrier.
Built to last
Elastomers resist aging, ozone, sunlight, water, and chemicals; corrosion-coated carbon or 316 stainless hardware.
Certified & code-ready
NSF/ANSI 61 (potable water), Factory Mutual fire approval, and ISO 9001 manufacturing.
Specify Three Things
Every LINK-SEAL assembly comes down to three decisions. Nail these and Eric can size and quote the full assembly.
The Seal
The LINK-SEAL modular links — rubber elements bolted around the pipe that expand to grip pipe and opening.
The Opening
A cored / cast hole, a Century-Line (CS) sleeve, or a Style WS steel sleeve.
The Size
Pipe O.D. + opening together determine the seal model and the number of links.

EPDM
All sealing compounds at a glance
| Sealing Element | Color | Temp. Range | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| EPDM(standard) | Black / Blue | −40°F to +250°F | General water, direct burial, and atmospheric service |
| Nitrile | Green | −40°F to +210°F | Oils, fuels & solvents — gasoline, motor oil, jet fuel, hydraulic fluid |
| Silicone | Grey | −67°F to +400°F | Temperature extremes and fire-rated models (T, FD, FS) |
Choose the Wall Opening
LINK-SEAL seats in a cored hole or in a sleeve cast into the structure. Pick the opening that fits your wall and pour.
| Wall Opening | When to Use It |
|---|---|
| Cored / cast hole | Existing or field-drilled round openings in concrete or masonry. |
| Century-Line (CS) sleeve | Lightweight HDPE sleeve (≈⅛ the weight of steel) cast into new concrete pours; non-conductive, field-cuttable, sizes to ~19" I.D. |
| Style WS steel sleeve | Welded / seamless steel sleeve with a full-circle water-stop plate for thrust resistance; painted (WS) or galvanized (WSG). Ideal for high-temperature settings. |
Sizing & Selection
Fits virtually any pipe — with effectively no upper size limit.
Fits ½" to 48"+ pipe
Steel & plastic pipe from 0.840" O.D. (½") up to 48"+, and ductile iron up to ~50.8" O.D. — effectively no upper limit to the pipe size that can be sealed.
How to order
Confirm the pipe’s actual O.D., choose the opening type, then read the model and links-per-seal from the LINK-SEAL sizing chart (PDF). Specify sleeve length separately.
Order format
Example: LS-575-C-10 — seal size, model, and link quantity. Sleeve length is called out separately on the order.
