Below is a photo of Spirotherm’s large quad hydraulic air and dirt separator (VDX1000) that was implemented for the high-rise building Old Town Park in Chicago by Heatmasters and sourced/supported by Maddock Industries.
Spirotherm is expected to save the building owner at least $4,000 per year in energy costs. Protecting their boilers from overflowing and underflowing helps avoid damage to their boilers and pumps.
From Spirotherm: “Another great project using a Spirotherm Quad. Hydraulically separating two systems, at the same time eliminating 99.6% of the dissolved air, 100% of entrained air, and dirt down to 5 microns. Thanks to #HeatmastersMechanical for selecting the best product on the market.”
