For over five decades, the Garlock brand has been synonymous with reliability and innovation in sealing technology across industries.
Garlock’s line of Century-Line Sleeves — a product designed to complement the renowned Link-Seal Modular Seals — provides superior solutions for pipe and conduit penetrations through walls, floors, ceilings, structural supports, and tank footings in concrete and masonry structures especially when you need to keep water out below ground.
Engineered to work seamlessly with Link-Seal, Century-Line Sleeves are the go-to choice for optimal performance and longevity in your construction and industrial projects. Molded from non-conductive, high-impact resistant HDPE, these sleeves are lightweight and easily installed by a single construction worker without the need for cranes or heavy equipment, making them a cost-effective solution for a wide range of construction projects.
Why Choose Century-Line Sleeves?
When it comes to creating openings for pipes and conduits in concrete and masonry walls, maintaining structural integrity while also ensuring a consistent seal is important for both function and compliance with building regulations.
Century-Line Sleeves are meticulously designed to meet these needs in plumbing, electrical conduits, HVAC systems, shotcrete walls, and other applications. For industrial, commercial and institutional buildings, these sleeves offer a variety of benefits:
1. Complete Compatibility
Century-Line Sleeves are engineered by the same experts behind Link-Seal Modular Seals, providing a perfect fit, reduced installation time, and improved seal efficacy.
They are available in 16 diameters ranging from 2” to 25” (51mm – 635mm) and shipped (from stock) in any desired length. In the event of a field or engineering change, sleeves can be cut shorter at the job site using ordinary hand tools.
2. Ease of Installation
Century-Line Sleeves are 1/8 the weight of steel, making them light enough for one worker to install without a crane, hoist or helper — greatly reducing installation time and costs. They are also easy to stock and far less expensive to ship compared to steel sleeves.
3. Protection & Alignment
These sleeves protect pipes and conduits from damage during installation and ensure proper alignment through the wall, floor or ceiling. The unique hollow water stop collar acts like an expansion joint, adjusting up to 1/2” (12.7mm) to the thickness of the wall. This helps to maintain the performance of the piping system, especially in settings like commercial buildings or industrial facilities.
4. Sealing & Water Resistance
Each sleeve is equipped with a 2” (50.8mm) water stop collar that anchors the sleeve securely and prevents water migration, creating a reliable barrier against leaks. Specially designed nailer end caps position the sleeve precisely in the form, holding its circular configuration during the pour and preventing dirt from entering the sleeve during backfill operations or the interim construction period.
When combined with Link-Seal Modular Seals, these sleeves provide a watertight and airtight seal, providing peace of mind in situations where water ingress prevention is critical.
5. Durability
Resistant to chemicals, corrosion and environmental wear, Century-Line Sleeves are built to withstand harsh conditions for long-lasting performance. Constructed from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), they are non-conductive and work well for cathodic protection systems.
They will not rust, corrode or degrade, and their low-temperature properties allow them to be installed under any weather conditions suitable for pouring concrete, with a high-temperature application limit of 150° F (66° C).
Peace of Mind in Proven Performance
Garlock’s commitment to quality is backed by rigorous testing and ISO 9001:2000 certification. Century-Line Sleeves, combined with Link-Seal Modular Seals, create a system that is designed to exceed industry standards, offering a hydrostatic seal capable of holding 20 psig (40 feet of static head) between the pipe and the penetration cylinder. With the right products, your installations will remain secure and leak-free for years to come.
A System-Wide Solution for Construction & Industrial Applications
