Armstrong Technical Education Roadshow 2023

The Armstrong Hydronics Roadshow “Optimal Piping Design for Hydronic Systems” will teach you about efficient system design.

In this full day course presented by Armstrong, you will learn what comprises load and how it relates to flow. Plus, we will cover the following topics:

  • Pipe sizing and ashrae 90.1
  • Branch circuits
  • Expansion and air removal
  • NPSHa and NPSHr
  • Boiler Piping

You’ll also learn pipe sizing and how pipe sizing is impacted by ashrae 90.1, along with an understanding of branch circuit design, and understanding of an index zone. We will also cover system expansion, air and dirt removal and the importance of system cleanliness. Have you often wondered what is Net Positive Suction Head (NPSH), what do the terms Required and Available mean? How do they impact your design? What can you control? We will also cover boiler piping and how your design can directly impact the boilers Delta T. We will learn how to effectively integrate subsystems that require various supply water temperatures.
